I made an integration for ChatGPT in Excel right when it came out. Shared it on YouTube.
Many users liked the idea, but were hesitant, as spreadsheets often include financial or other sensitive data they don’t want to send to OpenAI.
So I built XLlama to fix that. It runs everything locally using Ollama.
It’s useful if you want to analyze text or data without leaving Excel.
Also works well for tasks like extracting names, emails, or phone numbers from text.
Never used LibreOffice Calc before and I'm not familiar with the ecosystem for building add-ins. I think I'll stick with MS Excel for now, but thanks for the feedback.
